Italian Tassel
Always was really embarrassing incident, a restaurant which you want to share?
Mine was a fine Italian restaurant, which had candles on the table. Menus had long tassels running down the center and I had my own too close to the candle and it caught on fire! Thank goodness it was a very small fire.
When I was a young serviceman, I was invited to the local NCO club some of the Sergeants in my unit. Decorating the main dining room followed loosely Western. Long tables and chairs are made of chrome leather seat and back appear in the back seat. The best and chairs shaped a bit like the proverbial long-horned cattle in Texas. So, the top piece of chrome chair protruded outward about eight inches on each side and was slightly curved inwards towards the body, who sat there. The club was completely full. Long Desks against the wall had been arranged so that they were seated in the wall and the inner part of the table clear, so that women servers can come and go dodge without chairs. When we were seated as a group was so much to us that they pushed two tables in one corner of the form "L". Since I was the youngest and got there late start, had no places left these tables, but they were more a chair and put it on the opposite side the table on the right corner of the "L". This meant that I was so servers, but since it was only one chair and one person, it's not much harm them. It was a really good place, chairs, turn the chassis so I could turn left or right to speak or respond to all the other men eating and drinking. I had the chair turned to the right than the cute young waiter approached inside the "L" of the table. he leaned over the table provide food and drink, almost brushing my right arm when he leaned far forward to deliver food. But then, about an innocent, or perhaps a diabolical group of men shouting my attention to the left "L". I am hooked on the top and turn the chair, hand chair to where ever go. It was really embarrassing and I've learned that it really smarts when you hit the head side of the platter.
